What NOT to Wear!!! (Longmire edition)

One of my (many) favorite TV shows is TLC's 'What Not to Wear'. It comes on every Friday night and my tivo is filled with episodes that I have yet to watch. I can't really say I've taken much inspiration from this show, as I mostly am a basics kind of dresser. However, I do love it. I wish I had the creativity to put together the fun outfits that Stacy London and Clinton Kelly throw together with ease.

I did take one small inspiration from this show as I was watching it today. I decided to blog about things in our closet that we should NOT ever wear. Please note that all items shown in this post have now been bagged up and will be taken to Goodwill.

I obviously thought this shirt was cute when I bought it. I guess it was okay at the time because
a) I was still in college
b) I was skinny
** I am questioning those jeans also. They probably will go in my "not yet goodwill, not really wearable" pile for a while.

Obviously, this is totally out of style. But beyond that, why would I have ever bought such a horrid thing anyway? What is its function exactly? To cover my body? To keep me warm? A hammock? A fish net?

WHOA ... talk about granny ass!!

This shirt looks like it was washed with a bag of skittles ...

a) the whole thing is way too small
b) it is polyester
c) J-LO ass much????

Did Betsy Ross make this shirt?

This was probably a real good lookin shirt when Ben bought it. In 1992

I am considering making WNTW a regular feature on my blog. (If there is any reader interest, that is). So send in your own photos and I'll post them in my next WNTW entry. Be prepared to be mocked if you do submit photos. All in good fun though!

Matt had some shirts just like Ben's when we first got married. He went to work, his shirts went to the trash. :)

This is a great idea! You know this is one of my favorite shows. Would it be mean if we submitted pictures of random strangers and made fun of what they were wearing? Because I do that in my head all the time anyways.

The only thing that would have made this post better is if Longmire had saved his gigantic yellow and red Tommy Hilfiger shirt (with Tommy Hilfiger written down the sleeve )

And his Jesus sandals.

I love this show good idea and very cute. I would not even come close to saying you are an average dresser.
