Hey Jealousy

There is another song reference for ya'. Gin Blossoms circa 1992 or something like that.

Okay, so I have a confession to make. I am jealous of my husband. Jealous as hell. You see, he has a blog too -- he started his about a month before I did. If you don't know Ben, he LOVES sports. That is actually a bit of an understatement. Anyway, so he usually blogs about something sports-related. And therefore, there is quite a bit of diversity on his blog. Which means when random people google random names his blog shows up on Google.

Let me give you a couple of examples. He had an entry about whoever in the world Norm Chow coaches for. Randomly, some clown in California googled "Norm Chow" and narrowed his search down to things posted in the past 12 hours and BEN'S blog came up. Then, out of the blue, he writes an article about the particle accelerator and damn if some person in CHINA didn't find his blog!! Now today, I find out that some Vanderbilt bloggers found Ben's blog and posted a link on theirs. Uggh.

Now I don't really expect either him or I to acheive worldwide fame or anything like that. Not from blogging. But still, I want random traffic. Even if they never do come back.

It is on, Ben Longmire. It is on like donkey kong!!

Katie, you've got the looks, wit, and charm - let Ben have the popular blog.

Katie,

So your blog needs to be about something. You need one main theme to it. You're pretty well plugged in to our circle of friends so why don't you start a gossip column? If you start talking trash, people will start hating you, but that's part of the job and you'll just have to live with it. What do you think? As I'm typing this, I'm begining to rethink how interesting our friends are these days with people getting older, more gay, etc., but at least it's something. I'll still read it for the hell of it, just trying to build a fan base. You could also start trying to predict the weather, people need that. Try this: Tomorrow: Nice, Saturday: Nice, Sunday: Not sure yet, might be nice, Monday: Who cares?

Do Panthers and Cougars mate?

If so I know who the Panther is.

Panther,
Who are you anyway?

You make some good points. I can't really blog about my friens though. At least not the juicy stuff ...

I'll re-find myself this week and define a centra-ish theme to my blog

The panther is normally found in densely forested areas in southwestern China, Myanmar, Assam and Nepal, but has also been sighted in the Smyrna-Vinings area at night. The panther wears only black guess jeans to increase agility when hunting down prey. The panther has a rapist's wit.

Has the panther ever been known to show up at the Z# ?

Katie,
Hey allsome... I'm on duty, staring at radios and screens with coalition force ground movement. Not awesome. Low on coffee with Georgia on my mind... Caroline, of course. Wanted to boost your argument vs Ben's blog. I couldn't remember the obscure guy on the billboard that Ben's blog is named after but remembered your blog. Checked your blog out first.... Kong smash.... bottom line= you are memorable... obscure billboard guy is not. you win. rock on
